✝️ WHERE JESUS IS
Read one verse past yours and the mystery opens. Romans 8:29 says God's purpose is that his people be "conformed to the image of his Son."
There it is. The "good" that all things are working toward is not a smoother week. It is a family resemblance.
Every thread on the loom is weaving people who look like Jesus: his patience, his courage, his way of loving the difficult and noticing the small.
And if you want proof the method works, look at the cross itself.
The worst afternoon in human history. Betrayal, injustice, darkness at noon, the best man who ever lived executed between thieves.
If ever a day looked like the underside of the tapestry, it was that Friday.
And God worked it into the single best thing that has ever happened to us. We even call the day Good Friday now.
The name itself is your verse, proven at full scale.
If he can weave THAT together for good, then he is not going to be defeated by your sideways Tuesday.
The verse you carry is not a nice sentiment. It is the pattern of the cross, offered for your calendar.
🔍 TODAY'S PHRASE
"...his purpose."
The last word of your verse tells you the plan has an owner.
Not "a purpose," floating loose, for you to find like lost keys. HIS purpose, already drawn, already funded, already in motion before you woke up.
The pressure of inventing your life's meaning from scratch is not a burden this verse asks you to carry. The purpose exists. Your part is to walk in it, one ordinary morning at a time.
🕯️ WITNESS
C.S. Lewis spent his early adult life as a confident atheist, an Oxford scholar who thought the faith was a fairy tale, and said so in print, brilliantly.
Then, step by reluctant step, the arguments turned on him. He described himself at the end as the most reluctant convert in all England, brought in, as he put it, kicking and struggling.
And here is the wonderful part. Nothing from the atheist years was wasted. Every objection he had ever sharpened AGAINST the faith became equipment: he knew exactly where the honest questions lived, because he had lived in them.
That is why Mere Christianity and Narnia have reached hundreds of millions; they were written by a man who had argued the other side.
All things, including the years of arguing back, worked together. The threads he meant as knots became the strongest part of the weave.
