🕊️ [DAY 6] Psalm 23:1

July 11, 2026

Morning! ☕️ 🕊️

The carrying is done.

For five mornings you held six words until they became yours. Today, no blanks and no pressure. We walk the whole psalm, and you get to see what your one line has been holding up all along.

Week two, finished. Your second verse is planted.

🕊️ YOU CARRY IT NOW

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. ✅

📖 THE WHOLE PASSAGE

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:

he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. (Psalm 23:1-6)

Every comfort in the psalm grows out of the line you carry.

If the LORD is your shepherd, the pastures, the still waters, the table, and the house all follow. Your six words are the trunk; the rest is branches.

🔑 WHAT'S UNDERNEATH

Now you have all the pieces. Watch them click.

A field boy nobody sent for learned the hardest-working job in Israel, and learned God while doing it.

He fought the lion, carried the lambs, and then wore a crown, and from the throne he reached back past every royal title for the lowliest one he knew.

The name he attached to it was the covenant name from the burning bush, the small capitals hiding in plain sight, the I AM.

A crown resting beside a shepherd's staff

A thousand years later, the name showed up in person and claimed the job title out loud: I am the good shepherd.

The psalm got a face, and the shepherd went further than David ever could, laying his life down for the flock and carrying the found ones home rejoicing.

A barefoot girl walked twenty-six miles for the Book this psalm lives in. An orphanage full of children sat down at empty tables that never once stayed empty. An old minister hushed a dinner party because he knew the Shepherd and not just the psalm.

And a working shepherd checked every line against the real job and found it all true.

Six words. That is what they have been carrying for three thousand years.

And this week, they were planted in you.

🌿 CARRY IT TODAY

• When you are the one everyone leans on: you are also being led. The map was never only yours to carry.

• When you start counting what you lack: the sentence ends at "not want," and so can you.

• When the hard hour is on today's calendar: the Shepherd walks in front, not behind.

Two verses planted now, growing side by side. Close your eyes and try either one. They are both there.

Next week, seed three: Jeremiah 29:11. A promise that arrived by mail, carried hundreds of miles to people who needed it badly.
